The nitty gritty reality of making good money online, especially with affiliate marketing, even traffic building techniques is that you must do proper niche research. Let’s take a look at the most important aspects of niche research.
The most important part about keyword research is getting it done quickly so that you can get to work on setting up the site, promoting it, and going on to the next one. The more small niche sites you’re able to set up, the more money you can make.
I start off by finding a product that will convert traffic into sales. The easiest way to do this is to find a product, and look at the sales page. Would you buy it? If so then there’s a good chance that it will convert. Though that’s not always a 100% true method, it works for me more times than not.
Once you have found a piece of plr or affiliate product to promote, it’s time to find out which of the niche keywords you can rank for. Without effective software this can be time consuming, but is still do able. Start by doing a little keyword research on the topic. Find out which keywords people are discussing. Next head to Google search and type in the main keywords. Write down all of the recommended keywords that appear in the drop down menu.
Next put your list of keywords into Google’s Keyword Tool and find out the search volume for the term. Their figures aren’t usually accurate results of the search volume, but they can give you a general idea if the keyword phases you have are popular or not. Now trim down your list to the phrase you think you would like to work with, and move on to the next step.
Put each one of your keyword terms into google’s search and see who is ranking for those keyword terms. If they’re sites you feel confident that you can outrank, keep those keywords. The keyword terms that have too much competition usually aren’t worth the effort for small niche sites.
